* Dr. Mike Fucile writes: "The unidentified seis is a Seis de Comerío. If I recall correctly, it was often sung by La Calandria. Of course, she was accompanied pretty often by Claudio Ferrer, who was born in Comerío. The problem is that on so many Ansonia LPs they identify it as only a "Seis" but never say what kind. During my entire musical career as a cuatrista, working in Trovador festives, Trovador contests, I have appeared with different groups and appeared on many recordings done by other musical companions, I've always recognized this style as a Seis de Comerío." |
